The Carolina Ice Palace is a premier ice sports facility featuring two NHL-sized ice rinks, a full-service pro shop, meeting and event rooms, concessions, and the popular Penalty Box Bar & Grill, creating a complete experience for athletes, families, and fans alike.
Since opening its doors in 1997, Carolina Ice Palace has established itself as a top destination for ice sports in the Southeast, hosting numerous hockey tournaments, figure skating competitions, and special ice events throughout the year. Teams and athletes from across the region and beyond travel to Charleston to compete, train, and experience our world-class facility.
The arena has proudly served as the training camp site for multiple NHL teams and is the official practice facility of the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL. Over the years, the ice has also welcomed Olympians and elite athletes, further cementing its reputation as a high-level training environment.
Carolina Ice Palace is also the home rink for several premier local organizations, including the Charleston Jr. Stingrays Tier II Youth Hockey Program, the Charleston Colonials (USPHL NCDC & Premier teams), the Figure Skating Club of Charleston, and the Curling Club of Charleston.
Operating year-round, the Carolina Ice Palace continues to provide exceptional ice programming, competitive events, and community experiences—making it the Southeast’s premier destination for hockey, figure skating, curling, and ice sports of all levels.

LEARN TO SKATE USA MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL
Learn to Skate USA memberships are included with all Skating Academy Basic 1, Snowplow Sam 1, and Adult 1 class registrations. For all other skaters returning to programming, you will need to make sure you keep your LTSUSA Membership up to date. The membership calendar runs July 1-June 30th each year. LITTLE RAYS
LITTLE RAYS
Ages 4-9 Only. The program builds upon our Learn to Play hockey program and continues to develop fundamental movement skills and general athleticism and learn and acquire basic hockey skills (skating, puck control, passing and receiving, shooting, body contact, and goaltending). This is the time when a foundation is laid for the future acquisition of more advanced movement abilities and hockey skills.
