Figure Skating Director
Stacey Mons

Stacey has been involved in figure skating as a competitor, professional show skater, and now coach for 25 years. Her love of skating began at the age of 8 where she grew up in western New York . She was coached by National and International level coaches and medalled in many local, state and regional competitions. After turning professional, Stacey toured the world for 7 years skating with ice shows such as Holiday on Ice in Europe, Magic on Ice in the Caribbean and Myrtle Beach , Snoopy on Ice and Disney on Ice in the US. For the past ten years Stacey has dedicated herself to teaching skaters of all ages specializing in singles, moves in the field, choreography, power, group and college skating classes. She has a positive approach to teaching and focuses on creating a fun learning environment that builds self esteem and character. Stacey is now really excited about starting a new chapter in her skating career as Figure Skating Director of the Carolina Ice Palace. She, alongside her husband Matt Mons (CIP Hockey Director), hope to continue the growth and success of the Ice Palace's skating programs for many years to come. Stacey is PSA Rated in Freestyle and MIF.

Sandy Lenz Jackson
Former Figure Skating Director, Regional, Sectional, two time National Champion and 1980 Olympian. 10 years teaching experience, specializing in Freestyle, Choreography, Moves in the Field. 17 years of Professional show experience around the world, both as a performer with Dorothy Hamill shows, Scott Hamiltons' Stars on Ice, Ice Capades, and Disney on Ice, as well as the Show Director and Choreographer for Leary Ice Productions, staging theme park and theater ice shows. "I use encouragement and positive reinforcement along with sound fundamentals to develop the beginner Learn to Skate student as well as my competitive skaters."

Leslie Chabot
Leslie is a very dedicated, determined, and committed Figure skating professional. She has been coaching ice skating for 28 years now, and has produced many talented figure skaters. She is as compassionate about her coaching as she is about helping her skaters achieve their goals weather they are a recreational or competitive figure skater. She has had many skaters compete and medal at the USFS. Regional, Sectional, National, and Junior Olympic levels of competition She has also had several ISI World Champions. Leslie understands the importance of achieving and maintaining proficiency in her area of expertise, which is why she strives to expand her knowledge through continuing education and workshops. Leslie believes that figure skating can be a life long sport, full of many life lessons and beautiful experiences for every girl and boy. Leslie loves to teach children of all ages and truly feels it is an honor to be involved in such a beautiful and exciting sport. She teaches groups, semi-privates, singles, power skating, edge classes, moves in the field and choreography.

Tiffaney Kress-Tanner
Tiffaney is a down to earth, positive coach who has been teaching for over 13 years. She has been involved in skating as a competitor, performer, and coach for over 25 years. As a competitor she competed and medaled in local, regional, and sectional competitions. She also passed her USFS Gold Moves, Gold Freestyle, 7th Figure, Silver Dance, and Juvenile Pairs Tests before moving on to performing. As a performer, she skated with Dorothy Hamill's Ice Capades. Now, as a coach, she has had many students who passed some of these tests as well. Tiffaney has also had competitors that have been USFS Regional Medalists, local medalists, and ISI World Champions. Her teaching credentials include a PSA Registered Rating in Freestyle and MIF. In addition to her teaching, she has been the Artistic and Technical Director for numerous local ice shows including the 3 years with the Boot Skating' Benefit for St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Rockford, IL. Through these shows she has worked with Victor Petrenko, Surya Bonaly, Yuka Sato, and Phillipe Candelloro. Originally from Illinois, Tiffaney completed her Bachelor's Degree once moving to Charleston with an emphasis on Costume and Set Design. She teaches freestyle, moves, choreography, dance, pairs, and group and uses a positive approach to her teaching, striving to adapt her teaching style to best meet the needs of each individual student so that each child feels special and their individual goals are first and foremost. With the ultimate goal, of course, to be that each student learns to love skating as a lifetime sport!

Libbie Chabot-Lundeen
Libbie is a fun, energetic, and always upbeat Figure Skating Instructor, Who has been coaching for 24 years. In her own skating career she earned many regional and sectional medals as a single skater. She also earned a National Bronze medal as a junior pair skater with partner Peter Oppegard. Before starting her coaching career she toured with Ice Capades and competed professionally on a team with Olympic Gold Medalist Dorothy Hamill. Libbie spent her first 7 years as a coach in Minot North Dakota, as Head-Pro, Skating Director & coordinator of the figure skating department. She then moved to Rockford Illinois where she has spent the last 17 years coaching children from beginner levels thru the senior level of figure skating. Many of those children have competed and been medalists at the regional, Sectional, National and World IIS championships. Her Love for the sport shines thru in her teaching. She teaches groups, singles, pairs, power, edge class, moves in the field, and choreography.

Corey Mjaatvedt
Corey began skating at age 8 in Ogden, Utah and trained there and at the Sun Valley Skating School in Idaho. He grew up in a family of skaters; his sister is also a coach and his mother, niece, and wife are also judges. Corey competed in both regional and sectional USFS qualifying competitions and was Central Pacific Coast silver dance champion in 1971. He was previously director of skating in Ogden, Utah and has coached at Sun Valley, Salt Lake City, and the Ice Club of Baltimore. He has passed 3 Pre-Gold dance tests (standard track) and his most notable moments have been partnering his daughter Megan, through her dance tests. Corey teaches ice dancing, edge classes, and footwork classes.

Debbie Rosenbaum
Debbie began skating at the age of 9 in the Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs, CO and returned 8 years ago as a professional to the sport. She holds BS in Business Management with a minor in Computer science from Radford University, and is currently an Adjunct Professor for the College of Charleston Beginning and Intermediate Figure Skating classes. She has coached her students through USFS testing as well as regional competitions. Debbie teaches freestyle, moves, and power, synchronized, group, off ice conditioning for figure and hockey skaters, and is also an accredited Hockey Instructor through PSA. She is PSA Rated in Freestyle and MIF.

Jessica Kilgore
Jessica became a figure skating instructor in 1994, following her graduation from Ohio State University. Jessica was a member of the Ohio State University synchronized skating team and competed individually for the Ohio State University Figure Skating Club. After graduation, she immediately became involved as an instructor for learn program for the Chiller Ice Rinks. Skating is a true passion for Jessica and she loves coaching many disciplines of skating with all ages, levels, and abilities. For the past 15 years, she has coached many skaters in the test track, competitive, as well as recreational skating. Additionally, Jessica was a synchronized skating team coach and a choreographer for the annual Skate for Hope Show in Columbus, Ohio. Jessica enjoys teaching group, private and semi-private lessons, using goal oriented and positive reinforcement instructional techniques. Jessica is a member of Professional Skaters Association and is eager to complete her ratings.
