In the early 1900’s, Canadian street car workers used a small soccer ball and corn brooms to invent a new game. They called it broomball. The sport made its way to the US, and by the 1960s organized leagues were forming in Minnesota. The first state tournament took place in 1966. As broomball’s popularity spread to other Midwestern states, game rules evolved and team sizes were reduced from the original ten to six players. Today, broomball is played with aluminum sticks fitted with plastic, fan-shaped ends used to slide a grapefruit-sized ball across the ice.

Join a Hockey Team

For Youth – Teens:

Hockey does a kid good. Agility. Strength. Teamwork. Our coaches focus on creating a positive environment, so your children build not only strength and reflexes, but character, too. And with small teams—six take the ice at a time during games—it’s a sport in which lasting friendships are easily formed. We have league options for all age levels:

STICKTIME (Ages 15 and under) SCHEDULE

– Starting Tuesday, August 31st we will resume normal sticktime days and times.

Teams play across the width (rather than length) of the ice for a safe, controlled way to develop great skills and learn the game.

Spring League

Registration is open to anyone ages 7 to 17, and includes seven practices, eight games, a jersey and a pair of socks, with discounts available for siblings.
